AAU CBMP Held Annual Review Meeting Today

Addis Ababa University CBMP held a review meeting to assess progress in the 2016 EFY and look ahead. The meeting brought together the Ministry of Health, ADDIS ABABA CITY ADMINISTRATION HEALTH BUREAU and key partners.

Dr. Girma Taye, CBMP Director at Addis Ababa University, opened the session with a welcoming address. Mr. Yakob Wondirad representing Ministry of Health forwarded a keynote message outlining that CBMP program is a local capacity that supports the health system particularly at sub national level. This was followed by Mr. Admas Abera, who provided an overview of the efforts to date and introduced the broader scope of the CBMP+ project.

The program’s annual report was presented outlining the notable achievements realized so far and challenges encountered.

Representatives from Lideta and Kirkos Sub City shared their performance reports, along with updates from Kotebe and General Jagema Kello Health Centers.

The University also launched a Center of Excellence in data analytics with aim generating continuous evidence. The meeting concluded with closing remarks that emphasized the need to strengthen the activities by addressing the identifies challenges. The achievements obtained in terms of creating transformed subtitles and health facilities. AAU is one of the universities with a high number of model sub cities and currently with no emerging sub cities.

CBMP – Capacity Building and Mentorship Program in Ethiopia remains focused on delivering improved health data quality, document learning’s and digital solutions, and look forward to even greater success in the coming year.
