Mr. Tilahun Shiferaw
Mr. Tilahun Shiferaw is a senior researcher and lecturer with over ten years of experience. He currently serves as the Director of Library and Information Services at Haramaya University in Ethiopia and holds the position of Assistant Professor at the same institution.
Tilahun earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Science from Jimma University. As a key member of the Capacity Building and Mentorship Project (CBMP) team, he has served as the digital health team lead for the past five years and as the EMR focal person for digital health activities under a USAID subgrant.
His expertise in health information systems, digital transformation, knowledge management, and IT governance has been instrumental in shaping the project’s strategic direction and ensuring its successful implementation. In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Tilahun has recently been appointed as the Director of the CBMP project. In this role, he will continue to lead the consortium of universities, including Jijiga University, Dire Dawa University, and Harar Health Science Colleges, in their collaborative efforts to strengthen the Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Digital Health Systems in the regions.
